The Skit
In my daily life English class, we played a skit about taking a foreign friend to the night market in Taipei. I'm so nervous but also a little excited because we had only ten minutes to practice the conversations that we had to talk to each other in the skit. After five minutes, the skit was over. Although I really worried about it before we finished it, but now I think it's a special experience for me, because I was not so nervous as I expected before when we were acting.
My Best Friend - Betsy
My best frend has a similar name as mine. And our figures are almost the same,too. We've known each other for nearly sixteen years since we were classmates in elementary school in Chunghwa. The first time we met in the same classroom, we didn't talk a lot. But when we were fifth grade students, we usually went to school together. And then, we became best friends.
She is older than me by about seven months. Actually, she looks so mature that everyone believes she is my older sister when we go shopping together. She wears her brown curly hair in a fringe and is always smiling broadly. She is an innocent girl. Now, she's majoring in Early Childhood Care & Education in Taichung, because she really loves to be with kids. She wants to be a teacher in a kindergarten after she graduates. Hence, she took a part-time job as a babysitter in her free time. Also, she practices teaching in a day-care center to get more experience.
She is an extrovert but I'm not. And her views of love, money and life are all different from mine. Even though we have many dissimilarities and live in different cities now, we still keep in touch by MSN and cell phone. Sometimes we go shopping and have dinner together. I think our friendship will last for good.

Introduce about Betty
Hi, everybody!
My name is Liu Li-Ting, and you can call me Betty, Bet, ting-ting, or "Ant"- it is my nickname.
I come from Chunghwa, but I've studied in other counties for almost seven years.After I graduate from junior high, I had studied in Taichung for five years, and I live in the dormitory of the National Taichung institute of technology(NTIT).During the last two years, I have studied in National Taiwan University of science and technology(NTUST) and I'm majoring in Information Management(IM),not only improving my specialized field knowledge but also having a lot fun. Now, because there is no empty space to live in the dormitory of the school, I live with my relatives, my uncle,aunt,and a hunting dog named "Golden",near the school.Therefore,I can save a lot of money,because I don't have to rent the house myself in Taipei!!
So, I think you've known that I'm in two year college of NTUST in the first paragraph, right?! And I'm a senior!! In this semester, in order to improve my English ability, I take five different kind English courses(that is because I don't have to take any obligatory courses), Computer Assisted Language Learning ,English Writing(so now I type about myself to let you know much more about me !), Daily Life English,Engish movies, and Oral Drills in English, so that I could reach my goal - to get a high grade in TOEIC exam before I graduate this year.
OH, I almost forgot to introduce my family>//<~~
There are five members in my family, Father, Mother, two elder brothers and I.
My mother is a insurance executive. One of my elder brothers is a soldier. My father and one of my elder brothers are public officals. I've receive a lot of advices and assistance from my dear family. Consequently, I hope to get a stable career so that
I could earn and save much money by myself.
And the last thing I want to tell you is that my hobby!
I really love to sing, especially the popsongs. So, if you do, too, maybe we can go to karaoke together someday!!ha

What is a very important skill a person should learn in order to be successful in the world?
*choose one skill and use specific reasions and examples to support your choice.*
Everyone needs one skill that different from others and doing it very well,such as painting, dacing, jogging, studying, writing and speaking. You must want to ask why we need these skills,right? That is because of the talent! If you have a special talent different from others and even doing much better than any others, then you doing this skill very well, and this skill could do you a large favor.
Therefore, I think the speaking skill is the most important skill that we should held. In fact, everyone can talk to other by words, but "talking" has an special art inside that you may don't know. Besides another skill could bring you famous, you still have to communicate with others by talking. At this time, having a good speaking skill will take an important role.
So, the first thing you shold learn is the 'speaking art'. When we get trouble or have a bad mood or even get angry, we have to talk to others with calm and fair emotions still. When we have a meeting with the boss in the office, we have to consider all the aspects that we should notice, and speaking out all you want to say smoothly and orderly. And then,the second thing that you have to notice is the facial expression when you talk. If you say it carefully, then you can't be a funny facial expression. If you tell a joke, then you wouldn't frown your eyebrows, you must be smling!! At last,you still have to know the body language when you talk, because the motions that you do when you talk can make a good impression to others. And the other thing is that you have to be serious because one gesture could mean different meaning in different countries .
To improve your speaking skill is easy. You can usually talk to others to learn how people to communicate. And to study the speaking art from the books. For a period of time, you will find you will improve a lot.
